Ok then you must be doing that with another plugin as hosting the actual content is not one of W3's features.

Hi Reme – Thanks for your response. It looks like that i also hosted content on the cdn in addition to media & js files as following looks exactly the same -

mydomain.com (Main Site)
cdn.mydomain.com (CloudFront)

canonical reference – done. i dont want cdn.mydomain.com to be functional

Content itself is not hosted on the CDN so you do not need to be worrying about that, only files such as css, js and css are hosted on the cdn, the content itself is still held within your database and the cname is only used for the paths of those files, its not a physical site or domain on its own. It may look like a subdomain, but it does not operate as one.

Other than what you have specifically defined to be hosted on the cdn, nothing else will be using the cname, it is still advisable to keep the canonical reference, its original intention was to prevent duplicate content for http://www.domain.com and domain.com

Hi – I am using cloudfront along with CNAME & w3 total cache and everything is working fine -

mydomain.com (Main Site)
cdn.mydomain.com (CloudFront)

Both the versions are fully functional. Since it might create duplicate content issue on google search i just want to load image/js files from the cdn.mydomain.com and not the entire site from cdn.mydomain.com.
Is there a way to handle this? Temporarily i have used rel=canonical which will prevent duplicate issue.

Please let me know
